Sleep, Eat, Study, Exercise, Laugh - repeat

I mean dark as in “unknown”, which translates to death.

I was talking about some religions today and about how many religions believe in reincarnation/cycles/survival of the soul. Yeah, pretty deep stuff. 

Anyway, one thing no one questions is death…obviously.

I don’t like talking about death. Not because it’s sad to see others die (which it obviously is, but that’s not what I’m getting at), but because I’m terrified. Yeah, the process of dying (I mean really dying - few months/years max, not the idea “you’re dying from the moment you’re born) is pretty scary, but what comes after it.

I don’t know, I’ve just been reflecting upon this a lot lately, and my existence. I mean, I don’t know if I could ever be as grateful for anything other than my consciousness (well, you can count health in there too). I’ve always taken these things for granted, and I seem to forget their importance on a daily basis.

How can I come to terms with “nothing”? What is this nothing? I can’t quite wrap my head around the imminent nothingness. I mean, the thought of it makes me cry.

Yes, I’ll probably come to terms with this later in my life, once I’ve experienced many different things and am realizing the inevitability. But then again, this can happen AT ANY TIME. But, we aren’t supposed to live our lives in fear because that defeats the purpose. 

I know I sound like a baby, but I don’t want to lose what I have. I don’t want to lose my body and consciousness, and whatever they allow me to do. I don’t know anything else other than that…how can I be comforted by the loss of the only things I really know?! How can I be okay with the unknown?

Life is so precious. So fragile. One mistake and it’s done. Kaput.

Mind blowing. And tear jerking. And a bunch of emotions I don’t think I’ll ever be able to express. Trust me, I can bring a whole new meaning to distraught.

Zwow # 2

3 rounds of

what did she call them, manovers? basically row in pushup (each arm), stand up, press up, back down and pushups… 5

10 “breakdance” pushups

20 burpees + hop over

25 competition sit ups

finished at about 18 minutes…

oh, and since i didn’t have time to eat a proper breakfast this morning/there was no fruit to quickly grab (can’t really stomach salads in the morning), i literally had a small wedge of cheese…wow



10 min AMRAP:

- 10 tricep pushups

- 10 upright rows 

- 10 burpees

- 10 leg lifts

4 minutes interval rope



B - 3 scrambled eggs with spinach, glass of orange juice (stuffy… wanted the vitamin C nummyness)

L - handful roasted cashews, 1.5 cups mixed berries, 2 small kale rolls (ground beef with some rice - oops- wrapped in kale and “roasted”)

D - few bites kale rolls with few bites mashed potatoes

20 pullups (replaced with 12.5 weight dumbell curls, each arm)

40 situps (oblique + crunches on stability ball)

50 squats (added 10 pound weight)

Crap load of crossfit workouts, bodyweight!

Granted, you  need a pullup bar, but until I convince my dad to install ours, i’ll probably switch it with either arm stuffs (curls, rows) or abs.

Days that I’m really really sick? Nothing.

Days that I’m really busy? Aim for a 4 minute intense tabata and as much walking as I can get it.

Oh and Superhuman 50 challenge is starting tomorrow, which means paleo/primal for 50 days!!

They allow 1-2 cheat meals per week to keep you on track… it accounts for social outings, no satisfying “bad” cravings.

They even allow a little bit of organic, full fat dairy! Yay for cream in my coffee :)

Who’s up for it?

Todays Workout:

1 mile run (probably 5.5)

100 pullups (subbed for leglifts)

200 pushups

300 squats

1 mile run



B - hamburger patty, mustard, one cevapcic, italian blend greens with balsamic vinegar

L - a few asian chicken bites, few fried calamari/shrimp, 1 breast harissa chicken (best thing in the world omg), green beans, baby carrots

D - apple
